The Toyota Vintage Vehicle Museum in
Torrance, California, currently showcases some 47 Toyota & Lexus
Vehicles.
It's where you can see an authentic replica
of the 1936 Model AA as well as a 1961 Toyopet Crown, Toyota's entry
vehicle for the American market. Winding your way through the collection,
you'll find a first-generation 1966 Corona sedan; a 1967 Stout; early
Landcruisers; and three 2000GTs. The museum also displays company awards,
advertising and background information that trace Toyota's amazing story
of growth in America.
The museum Curator/Vintage
Vehicle Coordinator is Susan Sanborn. Currently the museum is open only to Toyota
associates & various Toyota club meets. Two recent events, held in
part at the museum were Toyotafest 2001 in May 2001 & the
MTG
2K1 meet in
September 2001.
I took the accompanying pictures at these past
events & would like to share them with
you. |
